A small story

A small story....
Once upon a time, there lived many fishes in a pond. Everyday, they would wake up in the morning with a dread - the fisherman’s net! The fisherman would be there every morning, without fail to cast his net. And without fail every morning, many fishes would get caught in it. Some would be taken by surprise, some caught napping, some would not find any place to hide while some others, even though aware of the lurking danger, would simply find no means to escape the deadly net.
Among the fishes was one young fish that was always cheerful. It had no fear of the fisherman’s net and it seemed to have mastered the art of being alive and staying lively. All the senior fishes wondered as to what might be the secret of this little fish. How could it manage so well when their cumulative experience and wisdom were not enough to save them from the net. Unable to bear their curiosity and desperate to find a way to escape the net, all the fishes went to this little fish one evening.
“Hey little one! We have all come here to talk to you.”
“Me!?” said the little fish, “What do you want to speak to me about?”
“We actually want to ask you something. Tomorrow morning, the fisherman will be back again. Are you not scared of getting caught in his net?”
“The little fish smiled, “No! I will not be caught in his net ever!”
“Share with us little one, the secret behind your confidence and success”, the elders pleaded.
“Very simple”, said the little fish. “When the fisherman comes to cast his net, I rush and stay at his feet. That is one place that the net can never reach, even if the fisherman wants to cast! So, I never get caught.”
All the fishes simply marveled at the simplicity of the little fish’s wisdom.
Similarly when we cling to HIS feet, we can escape the net He throws at us "Maya"

Loved the simplicity of the msg.

There shall be showers of blessings,

Extraordinary Showers
By Jennifer Benson Schuldt
There shall be showers of blessing. —Ezekiel 34:26
What do fish, tadpoles, and spiders have in common? They have all fallen from the sky like rain in various parts of the world. Fish fell on the Australian town of Lajamanu. Tadpoles pelted areas of central Japan on multiple occasions. Spiders showered down on the San Bernardo Mountains in Argentina. Although scientists suspect that the wind plays a part in these intriguing showers, no one can fully explain them. The prophet Ezekiel described a far more extraordinary downpour—a shower of blessing (Ezek. 34:26). Ezekiel spoke of a time when God would send blessings like rain to refresh His people. The Israelites would be safe from enemy nations. They would have enough food, be liberated from slavery, and be freed from shame (vv.27-29). These gifts would revive Israel’s relationship with God. The people would know that God was with them, and that “they, the house of Israel, [were His] people” (v.30). God blesses His modern-day followers too (James 1:17). Sometimes blessings abound like rain; sometimes they trickle in one by one. Whether many or few, the good things we receive come with a message from God: I see your needs. You are mine, and I will care for you.
“There shall be showers of blessing”—
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above. —Whittle

God's Good heart

God’s Good Heart
By Anne Cetas

Count it all joy when you fall into various trials.  James 1:2

Roger had been through a lot. He had open-heart surgery to repair a leaky valve. Then, within just a couple of weeks, doctors had to perform the surgery again because of complications. He had just begun to heal with physical therapy when he had a biking accident and broke his collarbone. Added to this, Roger also experienced the heartbreak of losing his mother during this time. He became very discouraged. When a friend asked him if he had seen God at work in any small ways, he confessed that he really didn’t feel he had.

I appreciate Roger’s honesty. Feelings of discouragement or doubt are part of my life too. In Romans, the apostle Paul says, “We can rejoice . . . when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation” (5:3-4 nlt). But that doesn’t mean we always feel the joy. We may just need someone to sit down and listen to us pour out our hearts to them, and to talk with God. Sometimes it takes looking back on the situation before we see how our faith has grown during trials and doubts.

Knowing that God wants to use our difficulties to strengthen our faith can help us to trust His good heart for us.

In what ways has God used trials in your life? Are you learning to trust Him more?

God may lead us into troubled waters to deepen our trust in Him.

Jesus Loves you

Father God, I come before You in Jesus' name through Your Holy Spirit. Lord I thank You for giving this day and blessing it and I commit it into Your hands. Lord, I pray for all people who are in depression, broken hearted, stress, tensions and long sufferings. Lord, You never lose sight of us. You have engraved us in Your palms. My frame is not hidden from You and my walls are continually before You. You know my heart and You watch me even when I am asleep. "It is The Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." When we cry to You for help, You hear us and deliver us from all troubles. "I waited patiently for The Lord; He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from pit of destruction, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord".

Jesus, You are our rock of salvation. You are the one who pick us out of our lives' miry clay of all sins, depression, troubles, sufferings, sicknesses, etc. "why are you cast down?, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God, for it shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God". Lord, I trust in You that You have the plans for our lives, plans to prosper us and destruct. You will make all things new and it will spring forth and we see it with our eyes of faith. We trust that You will make paths in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Your right hand will save our lives from destruction. You can heal the depressed and broken hearts. Your Holy Spirit pours out love in the hearts of stone and change it into hearts of flesh. You change the deserted lives into life with streams. You put a new song of praise and we give You all glory, honour and praise, in Jesus' majesty name, Amen!!!.
